G day. I’m excited to announce the DIYFPV drone builder studio is officially live.

This interactive build studio lets you import your favourite FPV parts and create a virtual build. Looking back at our builder proof of concept vs what we have today fills me with such pride and hope for our hobby. (you can see the old concepts attatched to this post)

Features

- Import your parts into the build studio with 1-1 recreations from the community

-Alerts if there are any shorts or incorrect connections with your build

-Wiring assistant mode so you can see recommended ways to wire something up

-Learn mode - select any pad or pin. Learn its function, how it works and why it is important to your fpv build

-Share it with your friends, get feedback. Updates in real time

We also released a community build feature or as I like to call it the “build builder”. This is for people who want to not only create a wiring schematic of their build but also use it in a build guide. It will auto populate your components from your build, show the wiring schematic of how they go together and prompt you a few bits so making a full build guide is easier than ever.

New feature- the Part library is now available to all users. This is an easy way to inspect a part, check pinouts and mappings. Great for when you want to quickly check some technical aspects of a part you are about to build with. This started as an internal dev tool we were using to check components but it was so useful it is now open to all.

Stack and Multiboard support

The part builder now supports creating parts with multiple boards/stacks. Select add a new board when building your part and then just follow the normal build process. This means that when you import these parts into your drone builds in the studio it will automatically import both boards at once.

The thing we need help with now is people continuing to make parts in the part builder or it would be amazing to see some people publishing some build guides for others to learn from. If you have a build you love to fly, please do a write up and build guide for it here on diyfpv.

My first 5 inch drone

I have ordered stack of parts based on youtube video and 5 inch drone frame with 1500 4S battery pack. I Have now tried to draft wiring diagram with help of software and AI and some videos how wiring should be done.

Just in case i also have smoke stopper ordered.

If you find any mistakes on this i would be happy to have them pointed out as i am just learning but at least it seems valid for application which is btw amazing tool!

We've reached a level in this hobby where you can do something like this: no danger to pedestrians, almost undetectable, perfect image quality... and the drone is so small! This guy is an inspiration. This weekend, guys, let's rediscover our cities :)

Got lucky and had a quick fly over at the river park. I have to go early morning before everyone and their dog shows up. I don't blame them - how good is the park looking. I'm no expert but the new BetaFPV Meteor75 II sure is a lot of fun to fly. It seems robust, I've ditched mine and bashed it into trees a number of times with no damage so far. Happy flying everyone.

How to get drone money?

Hey everyone,

I am a beginner in FPV, and I am getting ready to buy my first setup. The only problem… it’s going to cost around $400usd. Does anyone know any good legal side hustles to get me some extra cash?

Aaaah I was wondering how to clean a motor... ya know these anoying little thing that make the rotor cramp or stop one time out of two... any of you did that ?

F5 S2 Mosquito

Dji 04 pro, speedybee 4505 v5 stack, iflight xing-e pro 2207 1800kv motors, radiomaster XR1, flyhighfpv led strips and a quadmula siren f5 s2. The frame has shown zero issues, other than being very tight fitting with no room for additional addons. Total weight: 650g with battery. My experience with it and ethix P2 pickle props has been quite good. Very maneuverable and light. The top speed is 80mph with no wind. Higher pitched props will get it a little over 100mph. Average flying time a little over 5 minutes heavy on the sticks, over 10 minutes at cruising speed. (25-35mph)

I was using 1300mah 6s lihv from gaoneng batteries.

Okay, so I've completely neglected flying in AIR mode... I've been flying way too much in HORIZON for a while now, and while trying to do dives in front of buildings, I realized it's holding me back from doing what I want. So getting some practice in this morning before the rain was a must... and my god, is it a smooth way to fly! I really should have done more of it before!!

Finally trying to upload again, hopefully some outdoor stuff soon! Im by no means the best, but this is why I love whoops so much! You really dont need a lot of space to try crazy stuff. It’s taken a while to get here and I started much slower for a long time. I’d only attempt this with a sub 20g whoop because if you get good at disarming it can just bounce off stuff/not break stuff.

Anyone know of any good fly spots in Eden NSW? Heading down over the next couple of days for a holiday, bringing my 3" volador. A Bando could be interesting, but not sure if I wanna risk my only quad inside one...

Can a 3" 4s 04 Pro cinematic/light freestyle open prop drone fly LR over suburbs, 10km+ with a few upgrades (antennas etc)?

I started practicing with Uncrashed I did an update of it for a friend yesterday and I saw that somebody did the Meteor75pro to be able to practice with it.. nice thing!

Need assistance. I built a long range drone and mapped it to my radio like all my other drones, the drone is responsive and mapped to my RC while hooked up in Betaflight, but unplugged under its own power the drone is unresponsive & remains in turtle(crash flip)mode no matter what I do. Anyone else experience this and what was the fix?

so i just finished a 3in build(first ever) but when i arm it the front right motor doesn't spin fast enough and gives out when i give it throttle any suggestions?
