I personally think 3" is good to start off with, as long as you're planning on building instead of buying a prebuilt. I started with a 3" volador, (still my only quad btw) and its got enough power to fly outside really easily, but its still small enough that it doesn't sound like a small child being thrown through the air. If you plan to go bnf though, 65 or 75mm is probably best
I'd have a look at boat prop development, I think that you may find a good starting point there. They're larger scale so small innefficiences and vibrations are noticed more, and have been developed and messed with a lot more as well.
Can relate, thats my biggest problem with the 15-20 minute life on my dji mini 2! Average temperature where I am is usually 10 degrees celsius, so unless I've got my good gloves on I can't stand it
Looks great man, I'm yet to get my vx3 build up and running but I'm looking forward to it. Just a suggestion, see if theres another hole on the camera mounting plates that you can put the camera on. Having it sticking out like that is likely to damage it in a crash.
Probably just try a couple of different sized 6s batts, from a reputable brand like tattu or gnb or something. Maybe something 600-1000mah, just see what combination of weight and flight time you prefer.
Let's take flight together and elevate the world of FPV drones to new heights.
