I would to build the bubito because it seems really cool. I want to build drones, but I don't have the money and I don't expect my mom to buy me the parts for a bigger build. I chose the combo option because it's one less thing to worry about compatibility wise and I do not really care to dive that deep in the build.
As for flying type I mostly cruise around and try some freestyle tricks, so that Is probably the direction I am headed. I might do some guerilla, but it would be pretty light as I live in a small town. We don't have anything nearby for bando or racing either.

has anyone used chirp mode on the new Betaflight 2026.06? I used it once just to test it, now every time i fly it says CHIRP EXC FINISHED warning in my goggles, even after removing and restoring power.

Why specifically do you want that frame and motor combo? is there something about rotor riot that you like or you are just looking for any drone that suits your needs

the most important question is how do you want to fly? outdoors, fast racing, park flying, bandos, thick tree freestyle, crusing the coast line. There is no single drone that is going to do all of this and you need to pick one. JUST ONE. specific type. it is no good saying, I want to do racing, and also freestyling bando... because there is no drone that is going to do both well. what is the main single thing or way you want to fly your drone and then we can help .

welcome to the hobby mate. it is an awesome way to learn new skills and have fun. I wish i had fpv back when i was in high school.

this video was so fun. Seeing bardwell actually build his part, seeing what worked and where people get stuck. 10/10 loved it

Hi guys! I have been flying a meteor 75 pro for about two weeks.

I am a jobless high schooler, so money is kind of tight for me, so I am relying on my upcoming October birthday to get some new equipment. I really want to build a drone, so I made this parts list.

The bubito frame and motor bundle from rotor riot.

Betafpv matrix 5 in one fc

betafpv c04 analog camera

some lava II 280/320 mah batteries.

Would this be good? (any parts missing?) Is a build like this something that would be good for my experience? (Three months by the time I would get the drone.) Or should I get a different drone? (Other option would be a 65 mm tinywhoop.)

You only need to worry about rust on the bearings/bushings and perhaps rust on the magnets on the inside of the bell (but probably not). If the motors rotate smoothly then you're fine. If they do not, disassemble and clean if practical, and see if your bearing type can be oiled.

Blame Bardwell's video? We are seeing tons of great parts being submitted in the builder.

For anyone reading and building... We can currently only publish one version of each part. So this means the most detailed and accurate version will usually get picked if it makes it through the review process first. Please know we value everyone's work but are constrained by system requirements.

If you are starting a new part, try to check if multiple people are also working on the same part, and consider building a part not yet in progress.

I've had it, it's related to heat. You can get video feed and no telemetry ande vice versa.

The solution: Unscrew both vtx and goggles and replace the thermal paste to a new better paste. Also make sure you cool the goggles enough (don stan im direct sunlight ) and take off as soon as you can so tha the vtx doesn't get hot

Yes, leaving Bluetooth on will consume battery life on your controller, even when you aren't actively paired to a device. The controller must actively broadcast its signal to remain discoverable, causing continuous power draw. To prevent unnecessary battery drain, disable Bluetooth when not in use.

I m already have a few in mind. I don't want to fly indoors but around in my big yard and maybe inside my sheds.. I just need to decide which one 😂 that's the hard part.. they are all quite good as far as I can tell

Sorry about the health man. If you haven’t tried a tiny whoop they do well indoors. I’ve got a meteor 75 that does great. They usually aren’t to expensive if your on analog. 120.00 give  or take a bit.

Well life happens. That's normal.. I didn't fly alot myself as I m having health issues currently. Which is terrible because the weather is mostly fantastic to go flying. I need to add a tiny ripper to be able to fly around my house 😂

Today I flew the first packs with the newly added avatar hd pro kit. After the 5th pack i ran into an issue. It showed telemetry and standard VRX Infos but did not have a camera feed anymore. After a lot of troubleshooting, reseating the mipi cable etc.. I decided to try resetting the VRX. This fixed it but I m still interested why this happened.. did anyone ever experience such a weird thing with the walksnail avatar system?

Yea it seems sketchy in a review by captain drone it has a gps but on the page theres no mention of that also no mention of a recommended battery weight and capacity even worse the reciver probaly wont have a elrs target so theres no way to flash to a newer version

I do get why it would be called rocket racing drone (a race can be done in a straight line aswell 😂) but I question pretty much everything I see in this page. Takeoff weight of roughly 1.41 kg (including lipo), no motor KV mentioning on the whole page. over 400 km/h,...
maybe it can reach 250 up to 320 max as props with a pitch of 8 will slip alot.. it also depends on weather etc... unless they provide proof  it will do over 400 km/h.
theoretical its possible..
I think it will get boring quite fast while I do get that it can be an interesting project for some time.
