GIVEAWAY: Share Your Best FPV Moment to Win an Archetype Frame

But what totally warms my heart is whooping in the garden with my little 75mm 1S, performing all the tricks and moves that my little ones ask for and hearing & seeing the joy on their faces when I successfully powerlooped or gapped their playthings like the swing! The pure glee and joy is pure happiness for myself!

Personally, it is challenging for me to choose a single highlight in my FPV journey, but the memory I will treasure most is showing my siblings my drone, flying it through tight gaps, and performing the tricks they suggested. The sheer delight on their faces made the investment feel truly worthwhile.

The most painful memory of my brief FPV journey was crashing my drone and realizing I couldn’t afford to replace it due to my family’s financial situation.

And that marked the end of my short yet wholesome FPV journey.

Below is the Google Drive with videos and Google Earth route of a flight.

I found this therapy in the most random way. While shopping at Goodwill with my wife I found a nano quadcopter. A few years later my son was born, and when he saw it fly he enjoyed watching as much as I did. I figured I find a way to wire up an old cell phone camera and find away to record flights, so I went to youtube hoping to find out how. When I found you (Stu) and others I was happy to know it'd be easier than I thought because so many had already done the hard work and there were products to start off with like the GepRC RTF TinyGo, my 1st. Building and flying has become my therapy (not an exageration)! I watched a JonE5FPV video about his Massive Droner mod with a Vista, and I loved your speed test on the same frame (though analog), and I thought to try a similar mod and use GPS for speed readout. I posted the build to rotobuilds one mod was the Vista and another was o3. I'm still hoping to find the 3" non HD version of the Catalyst Machineworks More Massive Droner, so I can try to mod that frame too and of course speed run that too. I know you asked for the best moment, and to be honest I'm still chasing that. I'm glad to see folks like NickFPV and others still bringing well thoughtout frames to the community! I think when I finally achieve my build goals I'll consider that to be second place as far as best FPV moment for me is concerned, while the best is still reserved for when my son finally flies something I've built or perhaps what would be better is when I fly something he's built, better yet when we get to fly together what we've each built, yeah that would be the best moment in FPV for me.

I feel like as we grow up we lose that sense of wonder and awe sometimes, but FPV has brought that back for me.

It hasn’t gone away, I still feel like this every time I fly,

Before that, the trippy spin always felt chaotic, but in that moment something clicked in my brain. Instead of fighting the drone, my fingers just knew what to do. The movement felt smooth and controlled, and the world spinning in my goggles didn’t feel confusing anymore—it felt amazing.

After that moment I realised I could actually fly in that trippy position and control it. Now I’ve practiced it so much that I’ve pretty much mastered it and I can stay in that orientation and keep flying instead of just doing it as a quick trick.

Unfortunately I only have the DJI Avata 2, so even though I can do the trippy spin, I still can’t fly exactly like I do in the simulator. The Avata is great, but it has limitations compared to a proper freestyle quad.

That’s why I believe the Archetype will help me achieve that dream. I feel like with a freestyle drone like that I could finally fly the way I imagine in my head and the way I practice in the simulator.

Thank you for taking the time to read this ,and I hope I managed to give you an idea of what I felt in that moment!

I wish that frame used anywhere normal sized props and had thicker arms though I’m always glad to make a new build haha.

Of course seeing my first build fly is up there, also my first successful chimney dive, sleeping in bandos with my buddies, meeting cool people, helping newbies with their start into fpv... it's all up there, you tell me what's supposed to be the best memory ^^ I definitely can't!

Hi love this drone

Was that i was flying on cacation on a beautiful place and suddenly i also see an 5inch flying so i follow him and he saw me then we both flew after eaxhother then i looked where the guy was glflying from and met him couple minutes later then we both flyd ervert morning together its was so great
