Hello, my name is Jonathan! I am lucky enough to work at an agricultural research center that has a drone lab! I am the IPM (Integrated pest management) Extension Specialist, so i'm all about plants and bugs, bacteria, and fungi. I picked up flying drones LOS at first and finally made jump into the FPV hobby with some graduation money (I just recently graduated(Dec 2024) from New Mexico State University with a bachelors in agronomy and my masters degree in agricultural biology). I am excited for such a fun and engaging hobby thats also somewhat related to my work.

Been busy with work, and also my quad took an accidental dip in the water, so I haven't been posting much, but I got to travel to Chicago for work, and replaced my broken quad just in time. Check out my IGOW 5 Submission! More Chicago footage to come!

I didn't roll the opposite direction as I should have, but I was running out of time... broken quads had me grounded the last couple weeks, and I just got out this morning to get some flights in... But, i just noticed there is a two hour delay in submissions due to problems with their website....

Hello! I am having trouble with my Acrobee75 BNF from newbeedrone. The video drops out way sooner than it should, and the radio signal is always low. Any suggesstions?

Keep learning something new, and when you know enough, teach others! Fly new spots to keep things interesting, everywhere I go now, I'm like "Ooh, that would be a nice spot to fly!" "I'd power loop the shit out of that shit!!" I'm working on matty flips next...

When it first started happening I thought I blew out the motor somehow and needed to replace it, upon further inspection, finding this was a relief as this fix wasn't too difficult, and I get some soldering practice in!

Got a 3D printed battery holder for the 500mAh batteries. Works great! Much better flight time than the 300 mAh.

This has to be the most common "broken quad" problem i've encountered. I'm flying ducted tiny whoops mostly so props usually aren't a problem. What do you break the most?
