HGLRC B1 is super solid. Held up pretty well through torrential downpour in Chicago a couple weekends ago too (although I would still recommend using a fully waterproof cover)

Radiomaster Pocket is a good starter. Boxer is solid. TX15 arguably the GOAT - I have been loving mine

Avoid the BabyApe 3, go w/ the BabyApe 2 if you're gonna do DarwinFPV.

I can also personally vouch for the efficacy of DarwinFPVs "waterproof" hardware. Crashed my BabyApe II into a creek once. I let it sit for a few days just to be safe but it worked just fine.

IIRC, ProAntiFPV is in Utah. I don't think he is on here though - prob have to get at him on YT.

I guess that depends on your spending philosophy. The T8L is super barebones and because of that you will absolutely be replacing it with a better radio if you decide to continue with the hobby longer than a few months whereas for the cost of basically two T8L you can grab a Pocket, which many people use for multiple years into the hobby. Buy once, cry once imo.

@Leviticus68 For sure. In that case, the Amazon seller might be the way to go then. Worth poking around to see if you can find one closer to base cost, though.

Goggles price seems a bit inflated (assuming USD) - they're about $75 on BetaFPVs website.

A little after work rippage with the tiny whoop. Continuing to adjust to the new radio - super dig the TX15 so far.

You can find all of the components I suggested on their official manufacturer sites and probably also with vendors in your region. I just gave the lowest prices I could find based on your budget :)

If all else fails and the singular point of purchase is a big priority, you could see what the Amazon prices look like or swap out the Radiomaster Pocket for the BetaFPV radio transmitter (at which point you could just grab it all via BetaFPV website)

Kinda depends on what you're looking for. Based on a super quick poke around, you could grab something like the following, which would grant you a bit of longevity at least for the short to mid term, with room to upgrade as you are able.

Goggles: BetaFPV VR04 (https://betafpv.com/products/vr04-fpv-goggles)
Transmitter: Radiomaster Pocket (https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256810413754317.html)
Drone: BetaFPV Meteor65 analog (https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256811373983369.html)

After that you'll just need some 1S batteries, a balance charger (I like the ToolkitRC M7, personally), and you'll be good to start learning.

Nice, that is some good info. Probably will do the same with mine when it comes in tomorrow. Good looking out, man!

I've heard good things about the Babyhawk 2. Price point seems a bit low, though. From a quick search, it looks like the analog version of this quad usually goes for closer to around 240-260.

Yep, that's a super solid starter kit. Did you scoop a balance charger too?

Definitely feel you here. It's been a minute since I flew my smaller 6S packs that I use on the 3.5" - gonna have to give them all a quick voltage check after work.

No problem and definitely same here. I've been meaning to order a steel ammo can to keep my lipo bags in and kept putting it off. Got my order placed halfway through watching the vid lol
