I think im finaly going to get into FPV with a 3.5 freestyle build. I'm ordering all the parts from Aliexpres and want to make sure I get the right bolts. What bolts are used to screw in 3.5-inch props? Thanks
Your motors should come with a nut that's used to screw down props. at least all my 5" builds had that. whereas whoop has no screws whatsoever 😅
M2x7mm bolts https://www.racedayquads.com/products/m2-x-7mm-steel-bolt-10pack-for-t-mount-props
The motors should come with some, but they are easy to loose, so spares are always good to have
do not put 4 screws in props they explode, only 2 per prop , as i found out hard way.
It'll depend on your motors.
I have t mount props on my 3.5inch quads so only require m2 screws.
I've had a 3inch that came with bolts but that was years ago.
I recommend Xing2 1404 3800kv motor. No nuts required.
If motors require nuts , the motor manufacturer will package them with motors.
And I have ordered extras of the same size and they work
Do you have any experience flying or is this your first go? If you've never done it before I would not do that. I would go with a whoop first. You will save yourself a lot of pain.
I second that suggestion. Every crash with a whoop is harmless, usually for the whoop also. When you crash a 3" or bigger, your at least bending a prop, maybe breaking an arm.
As has been said the motors which use t mount usually come with screws. They are very cheap from aliexpress so get a few sizes and you will be covered.
I assume @justin28 was asking about T-Mount props specifically, which have one hole for the shaft and one on each side for an M2 bolt
