low latency and breakup before blackout also makes you much more conscious of your setting, and as a pilot I find variable latency really annoying as it can go from low to high latency quickly and throw off the flying. so in short fixed low latency is much better for a beginner

Analog 100% Analog Forever!
insane variety of goggles and vtx
the goggles will always be compatible (👀Dji).
they can be small and integrated on a whoop, or 5w on a wing
the cameras have all sizes and even thermal/low light
CHEAP! so you can bash and have a fleet where the video system is 200-300$ PER drone

get an action cam and swap that between crafts if good footgae is needed
there are many types (5.8, lowband, 1.3) so another type of variety

One company does control it

I gave my brother an analog and ERLS setup with the meteor 75 pro, and he learned really quick after the sim, plus its inexpensive enough and gives hi, room to grow
