Want to get into fpv flying but can't decide on what fpv system to start with.
DJI has the best camera/dvr quality and I do like that but I hear that the company isn't the best with their customers as well as their prices being through the roof.
Also, their release of the O4 as well as them being the industry standard for most BnF drones.
Goggles 3 being a futureproof choice but the ecosystem being expensive is where i am at.
Walksnail, the underdog, bringing competition is always good for us, the consumer.
I hear that there are some downsides compared to DJI but that the Goggles X are great.
Supporting the underdog and listening to their customers as well as being close to on par with DJI is where I am at.
Analog.
For starting off and getting used to flying, with perhaps a tinywhoop like the Air65 or Air75.
Goggles like the Eachine E800D or the Skyzone Cobra SD are a relatively cheap option.
A drone + goggles would be around €250 which is a nice pricepoint to get started with the hobby.
Downside is when I do eventually want to upgrade into HD (and running into the same decision issue again) my analog investment is for nought.
Any tips or experiences anyone can share?
I really don't know what the smartest/best choice would be.
I recently bought the Air 75 as a beginner, and it flew incredibly well, but Betafpv didn't lie when they described it as a whoop for advanced pilots.
The frame and canopy are very light, making the drone fly better at the cost of durability, a trade-off that someone new to the hobby might want to consider carefully.
The motors are soldered onto the ESC pads, making the drone lighter, but it is also harder to troubleshoot problems.
The Meteor series from Betafpv seems more newbie-oriented, with a thicker frame and plugs on the motors.
Then, it depends on your confidence with the soldering iron and willingness to buy a couple of extra frames.
Sorry in advance for any mistakes, but English isn't my native language.
