New to FPV: Help Me Choose a Drone and Goggles Under $350

I’m from NC and just got started in FPV. First piece of equipment I bought was a RadioMaster Boxer and a simulator. I’m now trying to decide what drone to buy and whether I need an HD or analogue goggles.

As for the drone I like something I could fly indoors and outdoors though indoors perfered.

Id like to stay under $350 for the goggles and drone.

Welcome to the hobby dude! At the 350 price point you're basically locked into analog, but that isn't a bad thing necessarily. You can get a set of BetaFPV VR03 box goggles for around 80 bucks although you'll outgrow that quickly. Alternatively you could shell out a bit more for something like Skyzone Cobras or the new HDZero box goggles and have something that'll keep up with you for longer - in the case of the HDZero box goggles, they also afford you the option to move up to digital (HDZero) later on w/o any need to upgrade goggles.

For indoors preference, a Meteor 75 or 65 is probably your ideal tiny whoop situation. They're inexpensive, easy to repair, and ultra portable.

I second this, while im a fan of walksnail and would personally recommend the Walksnail Goggles L over the HDZero box pro if you dont plan on doing any racing, mainly because of picture quality. I must say HDZero definitely has Walksnail beat when it comes to cheap box goggles, especially considering the fact they have a built in analog receiver. (Im jealous of that even with my goggles X!!!!)

I am new myself, I started out with the NewBeeDrone VR Drone RTF Kit, which I quickly found it to not have enough power (Even with upgraded motors) for most freestyle tricks. But it did get me up in the air and learning acro mode right away. My next planned purchase is the HDzero box goggles for their digital AND analog capability. I got the AcroBee75 as the next step up and it has the power, but also more weight it is throwing around, so I am still getting used to it. But it should be able to pull off some acrobatic moves. The hummingbird V4 looks like a great starter drone, and I believe they started making an RTF kit with the hummingbird V3. What can I say I'm a newbeedrone HO!
