60ms latency is nasty for anything other than perhaps a wing, would not even consider freestyle. Imagine playing a FPS like COD on 60ms. 🫠

Spend some time upfront on your rates.

Dont buy a million quads, rather find a good one and get two of them to take to the field/bando.

Mostly my 3.5"s and 5"s. Hardly fly my tinywhoop.

3.5" if I want a quick rip hitting gaps at the local park. 5" for a day of seriously flying. Somethings just need the weight and power that a 5" provides that the 3.5 cannot.

All good, I had a colleague who got pneumoconiosis. Was nasty, even though cutting prototypes first thing I did was make a waterbed.

Likewise I prototype in PLA then on cheaper Makera CF sheets and finally on T700. For aluminium first on PLA, 6061 and then on 7071.

Keen to see you design when you are done.

Flywoo also sells this. That said I had mine break on one of my quads and it was still in warranty and DJI sent me a replacement no questions asked. https://flywoo.net/products/flywoo-o4-lite-lens-coaxial-connector

Man I hate to be that guy.. You should be using a waterbed as carbon fibre dust is really bad to inhale. Also that fibre has very high amount of resin which you can see in the grey chip load which is normally used in decorative CF. Decorative is heavier and way less strong. Chips should be black like carbon to indicate T300 or T700/800.

For first post and intro here. Here is a pic of one of my custom builds.

Designed from scratch in Fusion360 to fix some of the issues I had with the Volador 3.5 which is mostly a solid frame. Self cut the carbon/aluminium and printed the TPU.

Nice clean blackbox, this is the first iteration. Will be following up with some minor improvements to the final design.

3.5" Squashed-X (No props in view)

Frame: Custom T700 carbon fibre

Stack: Flywoo GOKU F7 MINI V2 / 45a am32 ESC

Motors: T-motor pacer 1604's

Props: Gemfan 3520

VTX: 04 lite with Flywoo wide angle lens kit
