Caddx recommends a 650mAh 4S lipo, which would be around 80g, give or take. A LIHV battery is a lipo that can be charged to 4.35V per cell instead of the normal 4.2V per cell. This means the battery can have more capacity (mAh) per gram. I recommend you read Oscar Liang's primer on lipo batteries here.

Would you say its heating up faster than it typically would have?

You won't find any information about it, and you cannot get more granular control, because power levels like 50mW and 100mW are not available on the VTX. What you see in the UI is what you get.
