Started flying in December of 2024, used to play a lot of battlefield 3 just to fly the helicopters in game, recently bought a cheap "FPV drone" (VTI vivitar FPV duo) and it scratched the itch that I used to get when playing that game and I've been in full dive into FPV since Current drones: -Meteor85 -Air75 -Mobula6 -2fiddy -Tanq S (under construction as my first build) -Unknown 3" bought on FB marketplace for cheap

Anyone know of any good bandos to fly around the Iowa City area? Been flying the same vacant campground all winter and it's prolly gonna fill soon. I'm also willing to drive a few hours and meet up as I've never really flown with anyone and it looks like fun!

I started with a similar set but I got it for free through my works rewards system, it doesn't do full acro or anything but it is a cheap way of see if u will still have interest, it will have zero resell value if u decide it's not for u, if u decid it is, the goggles are most likely analog compatible for your first real FPV drone

I now understand why zip ties are not the best option for securing things down... Only got one pack in the tie broke on the landing 😞😞

I ended up flying each of my quads about a minute each before scurrying back into my car, the wind is a lot more aggressive than I'd like for flying and temperature lol

What's the coldest weather y'all would fly in? It's currently 14° F here and light wind prolly has it closer to 10°. Should I go risk it? Or just fire up the whoops and cruise around home?
