I mean, it looks like a 1s Li-Ion battery so odds are strong your drone isn't going to work worth a crap.  The rating is probably terrible as well.  Botgrinder did something like this with old e-cig cart batteries once.  Needless to say, it sucked.

@Nyooni Unless something drastic has happened in the past few months (like when Emax provided a sort of ready to use openIPC configuration), it's still not ready imho for someone to actually use as a daily.  Definitely can't wait for the project to advance though.

Yeah, if you don't need the latency of HDZero and are opposed to DJI, then Walksnail is about the only digital option.  HDZero looks good and all but it's no Walksnail/DJI.

That's what I would guess as well, you're definitely in the range that most people are. I actually might be worried if you saw 4.35v in the goggles.

Lol, yea you do make a good point that the battery would accept a charge greater than 4.35v and blow. I mean I knew that but for some reason wasn't applying it to my situation. Derp moment, I guess. As far as the charger not getting it to 4.35v, it could be the case but at this point that would be 3 separate chargers all having that issue while all being set to 4.35v. Today, I saw my batteries at 4.29 in OSD. I decided to not let the OCD take a hold of me and didn't bother checking their voltage with multimeter off charger. It's far better than the 4.1-4.2 3ish I would normally see. If I were to venture a guess at this point, I'd almost say the chargers are cutting off when the batteries hit 4.35v while in a charging state but that's not like the true voltage once the battery settles.

1s battery voltage does not appear correct, even with new batteries

Hey all, I'm hoping someone can shed some light on a problem I've been having. First off, I never really paid too much attention when dealing with my 1s whoops. I'd just charge, pull batteries off charger, and go fly till voltage got to where I'd need to land. Never really cared / paid much attention to where that voltage started until recently.


So I had a bunch of batteries that were older and were def showing signs of going through too many cycles. However, I noticed when I'd charge them (charger set to 4.35 and they are LiHV BetaFPV regular and lava batteries), my Whoopstor would stop charging at 4.35v. I'd pull the batteries off and when I'd go fly they were reading 4.2v. So I thought maybe it was cause of the age of the battery and they weren't taking a full charge. So I bought myself some new batteries (again BetaFPV 1s lava). Brand new, I'd throw them on my whoopstor v3 and when I'd pull them off and throw them in whoop, I was reading 4.2ish volts in OSD. So I was like, what? So then I took note on my next battery (again, brand new lava 1s) and it read 4.2. So then I used three multimeters and all three (calibrated) read same 4.2ish volts. Even the BetaFPV battery checker read the same as my multimeters. So I begin to think maybe my whoopstor is not charging to 4.35 and the batteries are not the problem. Luckily, I had two other 1s battery chargers. Both set to 4.35. Pull batteries off and instantly go to multimeter. Same...4.2ish volts.


So my question, I'm hoping someone can answer, is what the hell? Does BetaFPV lie and these things don't charge to 4.35v. Do I really have three chargers that are lying? Do all of my old batteries, plus 4 brand new ones with 1 cycle on them have something wrong with them? I'm at a loss here. I actually have 6 more 1s batteries coming (not betaFPV but are LiHV) coming. Mainly because I just needed to restock up but I'm genuinely confused about what I'm seeing.

The 04 is promising but I still can't justify spending that much money for video on my whoops and freestyle drones.  Kids cost too much lol.  Having the Goggles 3 already, it does make me curious though.

Let's take flight together and elevate the world of FPV drones to new heights.
