New to FPV: Budget Drone Build and Goggles Recommendations?
Hi, I'm new to FPV and have a few questions.
I live in Germany, so everything has to comply with EU regulations.
I don't currently have any gear, but I've already done some research and found a suitable controller for me: the Radiomaster Pocket.
1. Do you have any budget drone build recommendations for under 250g (ideally with a long flight time, even if it's a bit more expensive)? (I don't care about HD or analog (HD if budget-friendly))
2. What kind of goggles should I get for such a drone (budget-friendly)?
3. What else do I need, and where should I buy it all?

When you buy the controller you will be asked to choose the regulation between FCC and LBT... choose LBT!
For distance and weight, try the Flywoo Explorer LR 4... it's pretty cool, depending on what you mean by long range... but with the right battery, it's under 250g.
As for the goggles, hmm, I'm biased but my choice is DJI Goggles 3... :)... but they're not cheap... but wow, a super experience!
For DJI, buy directly on their official site. For Flywoo, you can also buy directly. (Or check here above the Catalog and the marketplace to find some used version)
Don't forget batteries and a battery charger! If you want more advice on both, we can help here ;)

Why should I choose LBT? What's the difference?
Which batteries should I get for this drone, and where can I find them?

LBT is used in the EU while FCC is used in the US for example. So its mandatory to use LBT with your controller to comply with EU regulations. 😉
I can recommend to shop at Rotorama (Czech Republic) or Drone-FPV-Racer (France). Both have a very wide range of products. Drone-FPV-Racer even offers overnight delivery through UPS (if you order in time).

HD is really the best way to go, you could get the Walksnail Avatar Goggles L, THEY ARE ABOUT $200 USD, and the air unit which is about $100 USD. I use the Walksnail system and it is way better then analog.

The DarwinFPV FoldApe4 is a really nice long range drone that is analog. Between the Flywoo Explorer and the DarwinFPV, I'd get the FoldApe for it's price and flight time. I had it for 5 months (Until I lost it) with no problems what so ever.

I just have one question about the propellers.
I've heard that folding propellers aren't very good and not suitable for even a little freestyle flying.
Is that true? Are fixed propellers better?

Fixed props are a little better, and I ended up using 3.5" fixed props instead of the 4" ones and it flew a little better.

Some things to consider
It should recommend a basic brand of goggles that will be reusable with other drones. Be careful not to buy a set you won't be able to use again with different drones.
Something missing here @uavfutures is a basic shopping list for beginners

I found everything I need except for the batteries.
Which ones should I get if I buy the FoldApe4(Analog and elrs version) to stay under 250g but still have a long flight time?
The are batteries recomanded for 30-minute flight bring the drone to a total weight of 289.3g.
