Can You Solder with a Non-Adjustable Iron?
Can you solder with a non adjustable iron? Reason is, I have a nice one of these irons with all the tips at home and don’t want to have to go buy a new one just for the sake of it. It isn’t temperature adjustable but I’ve already used it for small jobs on my BNF, just wondering whether it is suitable for a full build?

You can definitely build with a fixed temp iron. I've done full builds with one - just keep your technique clean, work quickly, and let joints cool between attempts. Most drone components have similar heat requirements anyway. The key is using flux and keeping your tip well-tinned for good heat transfer. If it works for your small repairs, it'll handle a full build with proper care.

I use a Pinecil, it has temp adjustment, it’s useful but not necessary, I would reco the Pinecil if you ever want a new iron
