Wondering how/if you can play the diyfpv sim on computer with keypad? I have tried binding arrow keys to certain controls (ie throttle) through the detection systembut doesnt work. Any suggestions/help?
I haven't messed w/ DIYFPVs sim, but I'd think you'd be hard-pressed to make that configuration work for you, as joysticks use an analog control setup (a spectrum of input values from 0-100% deflection) whereas keyboard input only deals in boolean values (on/off). Because of this, even if you could bind your keyboard in this way, you'd never get realistic control behavior out of the config, since pressing a key would equate to 100% stick deflection.
That said, you could probably custom-build your own input handler to spoof analog input (such as longer keypress == more stick deflection), but I doubt it'd be fun or at all useful as a potential solution. You'd be better off just grabbing a cheap radio transmitter (like the Radiomaster Pocket) and using that for the sim.
