Taking a Break: My Last Quad Caught Fire
I'm done. At least for a while. My last quad just caught on fire. Threw everything into a Darwinfpv fleet. I am not blaming anyone, but I'm out. For now. I'll still creep around. Maybe fly the hummingbird v3.1 but honestly, my heart just broke.
Edit- 100% my fault. Glasses weren't on and I tried to plug the battery in wrong.
Edit 2- Sabbatical over. Ordered replacement parts AND a 5". I'll be posting shit videos again soon.

I bought an Axisflying Manta5 SE (bnf version), Radiomaster Pocket, Eachine 300D goggles and thought after a few hours in the sim I can definitely fly IRL.
Nope, I crashed it a few seconds after taking off. The lipo got damaged created a short (balance cable) and finally caught fire.
Shortly after (because of this incident) I thought I should put it aside and learn way more about drones.
So I decided to build my very own drone using my 3d printer in the process. After I finished designing and printing it I put everyhing together and killed the FC on my first test. I reordered the FC and killed it again. Later I found out that I messed/mixed up 2 cables while soldering which were the reason I killed both FC's. I bought the FC a 3rd time. Finally build a working kwad. I started pid tuning - went to far and crashed it (reason were frame resonances which let the gyro freak out).
Redesigned it and printed the broken parts. Put it together - started the pid tuning again - crashed it.
Redesigned it and printed broken parts again - crashed it - redesigned it - I wanted to print the broken parts - my 3d printer stopped working (It took me 2 weeks to find the issue and fixed the printer)...
Now I m printing the latest design and just hope it will work this time.. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is how it goes since december 24.. I could just learn to fly with the manta5 but I want to get my 3d printed kwad flying!!!
The moral of the story is: Don't give up! Take a break and start over.

Just looked everything over. Betaflight is still getting good reads, so I'm hopeful it's just the battery lead. Thanks for the support. I'll be ripping again.
