Why Are DJI Goggles 3 Cheaper in the USA Than Europe?
Hey. Why dji goggles 3 cost 450$ in usa and about 650€ in europe? What makes this difference? I know that you guys dont have included tax in prices there but i feel that it still will be significantly cheaper. Is it possible to ship it from without bigger problems? Even if I would have to pay 50€ for transport i will still save 100/150€

My guess is VAT, which is usually around 21%
Shipping items from US to EU also asks for the tax during import before the shipment is release from customs so it'll be more expensive that way. 😅

i dont think you save that much. looking at our catalog listings here on DIYFPV we have USA stores at around $499 https://www.diyfpv.com/catalog/dji-goggles-3
what are the tax rates for importing goods like that in the EU?

@uavfutures Usually the VAT for imported goods out of non-EU countries is 21%.
Also, there is usually an import fee and handling fee (if above 150eu).
So that would also be my guess as to why things are more expensive here, since those are already included in the price.

@EpicPieFlavour i knew that you have to add tax to price in usa, but i am used to have tax included so i didnt expect for final price to be so much different than the price on product

@Cheese.injection Yeah it kinda skews the perception of pricing since things seem a lot cheaper in the US.
Sometimes they actually are cheaper but for most things "manufactured" in the US, shipping to EU is where those hidden costs come from.

One of our TO DO's is to get the data from our catalog and partners to eventually show this information somewhere in product page.

@tpetersons shops like Droneshop.nl are visible on the sight but don't have products visible.
Is it because they aren't integrated yet?

Pretty easy.. is it a dollar amount (e.g. shop in the US - prizes without VAT) is it in Euro (Shop in the EU) the VAT is included. At least I don't know a country in the EU which doesn't include VAT. But I agree it should be visible in the catalog or at least a reminder to check this out yourself.

We are resolving some issues with their integration but they will be synced soon, similar situation with RcTech. 😊
