Just started cutting my own frames!
What kind of endmill are you using?

I m testing a 2 flute 1.5mm up cut end mill made by holzy sold through Amazon (very cheap) at the moment and was quite impressed with the results I m getting. While there are special end mills made for materials like Carbon fiber, most end mills dedicated for PCB will work just fine. One of the differences will be how long it will stay sharp as carbon is very abrasive.

I'm using the same Brand! I got about 18 frames before the bit broke, for the 17$ they cost me that's not to bad.

Man I hate to be that guy.. You should be using a waterbed as carbon fibre dust is really bad to inhale. Also that fibre has very high amount of resin which you can see in the grey chip load which is normally used in decorative CF. Decorative is heavier and way less strong. Chips should be black like carbon to indicate T300 or T700/800.

Ahhh no worries! First of this won't be the final drone frame. its just for prototyping to see how it behaves before I use the "high-end" (T700) carbon fiber sheets which I already have lying here.
btw of course I know about the danger cutting carbon fiber this way. my cnc is in a dust proof enclosure and I just didnt use the dust shoe or a closed enclosure for this cut, so I can record it. btw I was wearing a proper mask while cutting and will do so even with the close enclosure. Also this machine is placed in a spare room in an additional building, not the house i m living.
I didnt create a waterbed for it as I dont plan on mass producing.

All good, I had a colleague who got pneumoconiosis. Was nasty, even though cutting prototypes first thing I did was make a waterbed.
Likewise I prototype in PLA then on cheaper Makera CF sheets and finally on T700. For aluminium first on PLA, 6061 and then on 7071.
