Those antennas look like a little bit of overkill LOL.. both in the same orientation like that won't help with range, if you can get them out onto the arms you might be better off.  I use a single crossfire on mine and range is awesome at 915mhz, building a 7 inch LR with crossfire diversity and still having a bit of trouble figuring out where to mount 2 antennas.

@TooFpv I had my GPS under there first, got no signal, moved to the front, and works great.  I have a feeling the spot at the back is to tuck a receiver into.

What size battery are you going to run on it?  Based on your motor KV i will guess 4S, and if so 1550 is a great size

Nice, i love my Manta 3.6 with 1507 4150kv motors, there is a spot under the Gopro mount for a GPS, Flyfish RC micro one fits perfectly.  I ended up with an 03 air unit and very little space as well, but in the end, well worth it.

I've hit 180 km/h with it over a large field, i think it can be faster.

I finally got a proper tune on my 7 inch long range using PID Toolbox, at least Chris Rosser thinks so! I was getting a lot of twitches and propwash before going down the PID Toolbox road.

I wish I could take credit for, this was from a parts supplier who helped me out of a jam.  Thought it may be good info for anyone having trouble connecting to Betaflight.

Has anyone ever purchased a new flight controller and have it not detected in Betaflight?

If so, try these steps below:

Holding the boot button and going into DFU mode

Most flight controllers have a BOOT button that, when held while powering on, forces the board into DFU (Device Firmware Upgrade) mode.

This mode is required for flashing new firmware because it allows the computer to recognize the flight controller as a device ready to receive a firmware update.

Running Impulse RC Driver Fixer

Impulse RC is a tool that helps install or fix the correct drivers needed for the flight controller to be recognized in DFU mode. Sometimes, Windows or other operating systems don't automatically recognize the flight controller in DFU mode, so this tool ensures the proper STM32 DFU drivers are installed.

Enabling ‘Show all serial devices’ in the Betaflight web app

In Betaflight Configurator, there's an option to show all available serial devices under the options tab. Enabling this can help if your flight controller isn't appearing by default, allowing you to manually select it. Note that this is the Betaflight web app so it's all running the latest version.

Flashing new firmware

Once your flight controller is in DFU mode and recognized by the configurator, you can flash a new firmware version to it. This updates the firmware, ensuring compatibility with new features or fixing bugs.

Finally able to connect

After successfully flashing the firmware, the flight controller should now be properly detected in Betaflight Configurator under a normal COM port, allowing you to configure it.

Why This Process Was Necessary:

If the flight controller wasn’t being recognized, it could be due to driver issues, incorrect DFU mode activation, or firmware corruption.

Running Impulse RC ensured the correct drivers were installed.

Enabling ‘Show all serial devices’ made sure you could manually select the flight controller if it wasn’t showing up automatically.

Flashing new firmware likely fixed any software-related issues preventing the connection.

Check the motor bell, it can begin to separate, you might need to squeeze it with pliers to get it sandwiched back together.

@spacemanfpv Thanks for the reply, but a 4500-5000mah 6s is bigger than the whole body of the drone.

@Shadai My 6inch freestyle flies amazing, and 7in should as well, stay tuned for video.  my main concern is how much battery can I fit into 100mm available space behind a GoPro.

I've decided to build a 7" Med/Long range/freestyle build. Can anyone with experience let me know what would be the largest 6s battery I would want to purchase? It's going to be built on and ApexLR EVO 7" frame. It seems the more MAH the longer the battery
