Maybe tell us what you did to fix it so someone in the future can learn from it :)

Judging from personal experience, I'd notice (and be annoying by) latency in that range. When I'm on the couch streaming in-home from my pc, I notice 20+ ping immediately. For that reason I've opted to go the analog/hdzero route when their new BoxGoggle comes out in (allegedly) a couple weeks.

I've been looking into that HDMI-link app as well. The problem is that the conversion from HDMI to USB-C (USB UVC) is quite slow. Best in class capture cards do 50ms at best, which is way too much in my opinion.

To be honest, the more I look into this, the more it seems that it's not really possible with sub 30ms glass-to-glass latency.

I'm a CS student that's just dipping his toes in the hobby! This would be an awesome drone to be flying around with!

Is there a big advantage, aside from broad adoption, to take ELRS over FASST? Does it have better range/signal integrity? I'd prefer to stick with this for the time being to be honest. I already found a FASST receiver that outputs to SBUS for 30 bucks, maybe upgrading to ELRS if the hobby sticks.

Edit: to clarify: I know modern stuff is probably better, but I wanna maybe see if this hobby sticks before I full send it with new hardware etc

Hi guys,

So I have this old Futaba T6EX FASST 2.4GHz transmitter that has a vertically stepped non-springloaded throttle on the right hand side. I was wondering whether drone pilots use a self-centering throttle or have a non-springloaded throttle as well?

It's not really 'pip', at least I think so. You can blow up any window to the size of a theater screen, as well as just plainly bringing it closer or further away. That way you can basically define your own FOV. Much wider than most fpv goggles I've come across, anyway.

The main benefit that I'm looking for is twofold. One is that I would like to be able to see around me while flying. This enables me to speak to others and not look like a 'blind savant'. The other is plainly that I don't feel like throwing down even more money when I have already got a perfectly good headset haha.

Sup people!

I've been a long time watcher of Stew's and he finally got to me: I think it's time for me to hop in! A handful of years back I flew RC planes and now it's time for the vertical flyers.

My goal right now is to evaluate the benefits of combining VR (using a Meta Quest 3) with drone flying. I'm hoping the Walksnail VRX unit will work well with it and deliver good input latency, but time will tell! I'm excited to be part of this community and I'm eager to see where what the future holds!

Cheers

Let's take flight together and elevate the world of FPV drones to new heights.
