I finally I had chance to test and compare different 3.5 inch props on my new build and haven't had enough experience with different pitches. I have to say, the Avan 3.5x2.8x3 props are BANANAS. Landing was super difficult and twitchy and the power was ridiculous. The HQ 3.5x2.0x3 were super mellow and would be great for nice flowy lines or something cinematic. Gemfam hurricane 3.5x2.5x3 are perfect for freestyle. Not too soft but not nearly as spicy as the Avans lol.

Anyone have any other 3.5" props they like? Something not yellow or grey would be a plus lol

How did you mount and solder that capacitor? I just built one with a Walksnail VTX and there is just about no room for it.

I tried to like analog again with a recent guild but I can't get over how much better digital (Walksnail) is for me.

Anyone else keeping an eye on OpenIPC?

This seems like a cool development. I'd love to try it but I think the software is a little above my skill at the moment.

5 inch is cool and all but it depends on where you fly. Around my house 3.5 is better because the 5 inch was ridiculously fast. It was like trying to drive a Ferrari on a go cart track.

Now if I was flying big office parks and what not 5 inch would be way better.

So I just realized I bought a "UART CONTROL version" of the camera where I guess the camera is set to default as joystick control. Would this be the source of my issue? How do I disable joystick control if the camera did not include it?

Mine is the same but I have the data wire from the VTX on T1. I pretty much copy and pasted the VTX table from Oscar Liang. I don't mind setting everything up in Betaflight and just leaving it. Maybe I'll remove the Data wire from the FC and see what happens.

It is set to auto and even the elements in the center are not showing up. I also cannot access the smart audio menu in the goggles is another thing I found.

I got my new analog build together and got it out today for a maiden flight.The problem I have is that the OSD is missing and I'm not sure if I have a wiring issue or Betaflight issue.

Camera is Runcam Phoenix 2 JB edition, Speedybee f405 mini, and Rush Tank Solo 1w VTX. Camera is wired to power, ground, and cam pads on FC. VTX is wired to 9v and ground, data on VTX to TX on FC and Video to VTX pad on FC.

Goggles on and plug in the battery I get video fine but no Betaflight logo or OSD. I do have a notice in the the upper left that says UART CONTROL.

Not sure yet. Still waiting for a nice day to fly it. It has been either raining or too windy to fly.

Built this LilMatey 3.5 today. I wanted an analog build just for fun and I have only done Walksnail builds so far.

Rush Tank Solo, Speedybee f405 mini, ELRS, Runcam Phoenix 2 JB edition, and FlyfishRC 1804 3500kv motors.

Now if the weather would cooperate I could fly it lol

XNova 1804 3500kv 4s motors are great in that frame. Feels closer to a 5inch to me. I run them on mine using 1100mah 4s batteries and get a good 5 minutes of hard flying.

Might want to check and see if there is a battery in them. I've never charged mine since I ran them off external power.

IDK the exchange rate but I got mine a couple years ago for $200 USD used a couple years ago.

I am changing one of my quads from a XT30 to XT60 so I don't have to have 2 different types of 4s batteries for my 2 other quads. However I have 1 4s Li Ion pack with a XT30 connector. Would there be any issue running that better with a XT30/XT60 adapter? My AIO is 40amp and 2004 motors if it matters.
