The soldier is gonna go to the hottest surface. Personally I like to go in at like 820 degrees Fahrenheit, heat the pad, then touch the soldier to the pad and my iron tip as I quickly pull it away. Let the soldier bubble form on the plate and pull the soldier away. It all happens pretty quickly. Use a practice board and work going in and getting out quickly tinning the pads. It's a temp and speed thing you need to get down.  When you do the soldier will pool right on the pad without rolling off the side because of the temp change at the edge of the pad section. Once you have that down it's as easy as tinning the wire tips and just resting them on top of the tinned pads and tapping it with your iron till it sinks in. Its good your being cautious of over heating but the pads on the board are meant to retain and localize the heat. Best I can say is work on being smooth and quick. Don't worry about it being super clean you can practice that over time. Just work on getting it done without setting off your smoke checker.

What temp are you running your iron at? I find going in hot and fast works best for me. Make sure you're tinning your FC and wires. Then tap them in hot and fast. Don't get me wrong my soldiering still isn't the prettiest to look at but its solid.

Just prevents the motor screws from waring down when landing. They sucked. and fell off to easy. Not worth it.

Thank you. all the mounts on the wall are just 3d prints. So that part is cheap. I find myself mounting everything to the walls. You'd be surprised how many things can benefit from a wall mount lol!

It takes a beaten. But I can see why people would say that. The way the frame and ducts connect is kinda a bitch. I guess my answer was more subjective not objective cause I really do like the little things! They got fun in them. And the parts are so cheap on ali. So you don’t have to worry about ripping on the thing. One small crash is selling it short in my experience. And when it loosens up I just tighten it. But you’ve heard correctly it does get loose if you bang on it. I own a few quads and there’s something with all of them you know. Good luck in your hunt my friend. I gotta say I love my Pavo20 Pro"s. I have 3 because you can pick them up for such great prices. 3s and the little fuckers rip! Pull it up on YouTube it's hard to find anyone knocking it. And they just upgraded the canopy for the 04 Air unit. Or you can just 3d print it.
