What Does Drone Size (5-inch, 3-inch) Really Mean?
Drone Sizes: A Mystery
I've done due diligence on the web, but I get no solid answer.
The question: What is being measured when we say "a 5" drone" or "a 3-inch".
Is it the length of the arms? The diameter of the props? The diagonal distance between motor shafts?
Maybe it's the distance a newbie like me will fly it before crashing . . . I don't know.
Somebody please solve this one for me. Thanks!

5" is the size props but when you get down to say a 75 mm its measuring from center motor to center motor in the diagonal line. Just the same as we measure TVs from one corner to the other diagonally.
