Incase you guys want to change that, I have mine set to 10 min and dont have any problems:
How to Set Up Power Auto Off
1. Press the SYS (System) button on your radio.
2. Navigate to the Radio Setup (gear icon) page.
3. Scroll down through the hardware/misc settings to find Power Auto Off.
4. Adjust the timer to your preferred inactivity duration in minutes (e.g., 5 or 10 minutes). Setting it to 0 disables the feature

Will it turn off during the flight?

no, its an inactivity thing, but understandable to be concerned. its like how your computer/phone dont lock themselves while youre using them, but do when theyre idle for a while.
