No one can tell my that pilots aren't superstitious (calling out last pack, etc.). Do you have a pre-flight ritual you do for good luck? Did you have a lucky pack that you just seem to dial every line on? What do you do to lock in?
Well honestly idk. Never held the boxer. I love the look of my pocket it doesn’t sit in my hands to great but when I have a neck strap it doesn’t matter. I have the crush so it looks cool. I wouldn’t like a boxer if it felt to big and heavy for me the pocket does everything perfect and I love it. The price point wasn’t too bad I paid 100 ish bucks for it including battery and crush version was more expensive but worth it. But if they do the same thing and they both feel equal I would by the pocket. Plus I like that I can literally put it in my pocket and I don’t have to worry about sticks. If I was to choose boxer it would have to feel really good and impress me.
I respect that. A lot. I don't remember where I heard it, but the expression was something like "Luck is when preparation meets application" and that has always stuck with me. All honor to Him.
Recently I have been worried about if I’ll get the air65 working again. I kinda hate that I spent my saved up money for a drone that gives out on me before 10 packs. I’m not that bad of a pilot right?
No, you are not. Never forget that these are mass produced and the quality checks have to be really low. I've owned a total of 4 Mobula6 2024's. 2 were bad out of the box (FC issues), one cracked the frame on its maiden flight, and the 4th one was pure magic. Just need to get a new battery lead on it. Point is, these tinywhoops were made to be replaced. If I could, I would order 2 of every BNF just in case.
But on a serious note I don't like to fly my wings until after the drones. Wings always just feel so 50/50 when you first launch them. will they crash and explode or will they be ok?
Check all the frame screws, feel the motors that they are smooth, turn on an Fpv or related blog or learning video for calm background sound and general learning. Then rip.
I like that. I need to be better about the pre flight check, especially getting cables out of the no no zone. I usually watch friends, then Heinz, then rip
Not usually. Its usually just a bit of a cruise to get warmed up. I'll throw some acto in the mix but I don't want to get bonkers and have my first pack be my last pack 😅
I know what you mean. When I go back to cut a video together, it seems like no matter how much I intend that first pack to be chill, I end up throwing or landing a trick for the first time. Every pack after that is just trying to one up the one before.
