Hi, I’m new to this hobby. I’ve clocked up nearly 25 hours on a simulator, and I was wondering if that’s enough to fly a real drone, and if not, what you think the minimum number of hours I should aim to get one
Sounds pretty ok, real life will feel very similar to the simulator. Which one do you have? If you still crash a lot in simulator, practice more, if you can fly easily without crashing go have fun outside 🙌
Hi, thank you very much for your reply. I’m currently using Liftoff and have clocked up about 10 hours on this simulator; the rest of the time I’ve been practising on FPV Skydive. I’ve had a few crashes, but mainly when trying out new things like difficult dives or trying to hit very small gaps.
just fly until you get no mistakes and can recover before you crash. But simulators doesn't really relate to real life physics , it will feel more sensitive. And that is how i destroyed mine. :(
I’ve just had another go at your simulator after several weeks without flying it, and after a couple of failed attempts I managed a clean lap in 75 seconds
