Well, I'm not sure if I can call myself an "expert", However I can say the choice of a (first) drone mostly depends on your style of flying: what you want to fly and how much money you're ready to spend. If you're sole goal is to fly 5 inch drones and just want something in the meantime, then I would not recommend getting a micro drone. Just do sim practice until you're able to afford a bigger quad, if you catch my drift.
So what kind of flying do you want to do? Ripping bando's or cruising through mountain ranges? Doing crazy sbang or getting the fastest laps in races? Or maybe you just like to have fun flying around and doing urban exploring? These all factor in on which drone you should get. And getting the cheapest option might dissapoint you in some way or another if it's not what you're looking for out of the hobby.
I have to say micro drones have gotten better over the years, and now I'm starting to feel more comfortable recommending them to beginners as their first drone (especially those on a tight budget). I think betaFPV is making the best micro drones at the moment, with a close followup being Happymodel (some people prefer Happymodel over BetaFPV) and NewBeeDrone (however they use a more outdated connector). I'm not sure if I would recommend the Air75 II, especially the champion edition, since it has a lot of power, which might be too much for a beginner. Due to it's light weight they had to cut some corners, and I've heard the canopy is specifically weak. On the champion edition the motors are soldered on, so unless you're very confident in your soldering I would recommend the freestyle or racing version with motor plugs for an easier swapout. If you're looking for something you can crash a lot and not break as fast I would got for the
Meteor75 Pro, you're compromising some power to weight ratio but gain a lot in durability, and you're also getting the motor plugs.
I also heard some arguments against 75mm micro drones, according to some people they sit in the uncomfortable place of not being powerfull enough for outdoors and being too powerful for indoor spaces. These are valid concerns to take into account, and of course, it ain't going to fly like a 5 inch 😉. If you want to fly indoors primarily, I would recommend the
Air65 II, the 65mm class is great for indoor flying and the Air65 packs a punch! The
happymodel Mobula 6 or
NewBeeDrone Hummingbird V4 are also great options if you want a little more durability.
Let me know what part of the hobby gets you most exited and I might have a more fitting recommendation! (also sorry for the long rants if those bother you, I know they could be a bit much for someone who just wants some advice)
