Reviving the Mobula8 HD with O4 Lite and New Canopy

The HappyModal Mobula8 HD with O3 was my very first FPV quad. With an O3, the Mobula8 flies like a boat - the O3 is far too heavy for it.

I retired the Mobula8 a while back. With the introduction of O4 Lite, I decided to try to breath new breath into it.

I'm using HCTRM's canopy titled Meteor 75 Pro O4 TPU Canopy for Flywoo ND filter which allows me to use the Flywoo O4 Camera Housing so I can use either the Flywoo O4 ND Filters or, even better, the Flywoo O4 Wide-FOV Kit.

You can use this canopy with the standard, self-tapping FC stack screws. Or you can drill out the FC posts that exist in the duct and instead use M2 hardware (bolts and nuts). For repairability, I opted to drill it out and use the M2 hardware.

To accept more pack sizes, I snipped the battery cage on the Mobula8 ducts and am using a battery strap. I'm using a Pyrodrone Micro Battery Strap Metal Buckle, 10mm x 115mm. To help with battery slippage, I use a wrap or two of Maxwel Wire Harness Tape. The battery strap is just a bit long. I may shorten it about 5-10mm. The blue plastic you see on the battery cage was a 3d print I previously had on the quad to allow for larger packs. The battery strap works much better!!

I used E-6000 to glue the O4 Antenna to the O4 Board. I used E-6000 to secure the camera's cable to the interposer board to the camera.

It's wired to connect a ViFly Finder Mini. I just need to figure out where to mount it (or maybe I'll replace that with a Tiny Buzzer).
