I love my 5 inch but this thing rips, I can fly it anywhere at any time, it's a great pre built to get into tinywhoops. Plenty of speed for learning it race and awesome for guerrilla whooping.
It's almost indestructible and takes hits like nothing, this is my go to when people ask how to start out in the hobby
These whoops are amazing! And for the price, forget about building one cheaper. I have the racing version and I have the throttle limited to 90% and it rips circles around what my old whoops could do!
This is the one i always fly a pack or two in when i have time.
So light and resilient due to its low weight im always pushing harder with this compared to my other whoops.
Tune is locked in and its one of the few BNF that i dont think i will ever go off stock.
I bought two just so i could have a spare!
Had the drone for 3 months, the fame took impacts like a champ. The flight characteristics were very responsive and can candle pulling out of dives without the motors becoming saturated, however since they are cheap they didn't last too long and after 3 months they had to be replaced since the bearings were shot.
Although not my first, I can wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone looking to get into the hobby or looking for a second quad to casually fly around during coffee breaks. This quad is so light and nimble, it's near indestructible. Has no problem recovering from risky acrobatic maneuvers, dives, flips and tricks. Highly recommend doubling down on the BetaFPV Lava 300mAh battery packs. Binding was easy and straightforward to an Eachine EV 800D and Radiomaster Zorro.
Would definitely consider the all in one flight controller for a custom whoop build.
I love this whoop. I love how it flies, I love the form factor, it really is an awesome craft. The only complaint I have is durability and quality control. BetaFPV has been having some issues and I have recieved 2 of these quads with either fragile or broken cameras. Additionally, the solder joints on the motor wires are nowhere near secure enough. One of mine came undone while I was cruising over my house :/. Overall, I fucking love this thing. I just wish these issues were addressed.
Title says it all, its so much fun
I went from 6" build to 3,5" build (together with having also Pavo20), then I got hands on Meteor75, but since it was not mine I bought this Air65. It's absolutely great.
You can have lot of fun inside and also outside just going to the park. I have now 9 batteries total, cheap to buy and lot of fun.
Only downside comparing to my 3,5" inch build is video quality. So if you don't mind analog, this is little powerful beast.
this thing zips around the park and is super durable but the canopy design is a bit weak and broke on me once but overall super fun
The Quad is just absolutely awesome. Easy to fly indoors or take along without needing a lot of room. This probably gets the most amount of stick time out of all of my quads.
However the new 5in1 board has issues regarding the ELRS chipset. This can get knocked loose from shipping or fairly light crashes and then looses connection mid flight. I think this is because of poor soldering joints on the chipset in the factory. If this issue gets fixed and their QC gets a boost id have no reason to give anything less than 5 stars!
If you can get it i reccomend the Diamond shaped board without a elrs receiver and then using a standalone rx. This is about the same weight as the 5in1 as well. If not you can also use a standalone rx with the 5in1 but it is of course heavier.
I absolutely adore this little one. I use 300mAh lava's along with it and it SHREDS.
It bloody SHREDS! I highly recommend for both Beginners AND Experienced pilots!
Flies very well, and can take a beating. I personally can't easily remove the props, so I recommend one of those tinywhoop prop removal tools. Also the camera angle is a bit high. But the fact that this whoop flies like a 3-inch beats all this, and it deserves the 5-star rating!
I owned literally every mobula 6 generation drones and tried meteors too. But this one simply the best 65mm until they released v2 that i havent tried but i did motor swap on v2 to 30kkv and it became even better (champion)
Great little whoop, it flies great and very fun to race with.
The frame is solid, the motors feel great and the overall package is good 👍
But i have two issues with it.
The co3 camera that came on mine is absolutely garbage. 3-4 minor crashes after getting it and the video turned yellow and never changed back. Tried to re-solder it, changed the wires, updated betaflight.. nothing. The video never got fixed. When i changed the camera everything was okay again.
The built in ELRS receiver stopped working properly within a month of getting it. This has not only happened to me but also to a friend of mine. Just out of nowhere, the ELRS range dropped to nothing. I have to keep the radio right next to the whoop for it to even connect, and the moment i take off the link drops. Tried reflashing everything, but nothing has fixed it so far.
Overall i would say it's a nice whoop, but in my experience it's not as durable as some of the other whoops i own.
