Using 04 Air Units for Video Feed with Minimal Connections
If anyone was as curious as I was u can get video feed from the 04 air units using just power and ground. I wanted to convert my analog emax hawk sport to digital. The fc has no free uarts other than the vtx pads. They are power, ground, TX, and video out.
Connecting power, ground and tx only worked and I have video. Then tried just power and ground, also works.

Nice. I had a crux35 that did have a uart free and it worked great once I added a 9v bec for the o4 lite. Not sure the vtx and video out will give you the correct results. To get osd you have to set the uart port to msp/displayport. So idk, but kwadspeed.

msp/displayport is that a setting in the ports menu on beta flight? i have no osd on my 04 pro at the moment

@Uri-Nator87 Yea. That is what I was expecting. If you can control the port that was originally for the vtx in betaflight, I'd imagine there is still a chance. But that might still not get osd. You may have to also apply a preset for dji. I think I used "OSD for Fpv.wtf, dji03, avatar hd". I don't think I needed it on my crux, but when I built my grinderino I had to use that. All that said, sorry if it didn't work out.

It worked. I have battery voltage on my osd now. On my 04 pro and my Frankenstein hawk 5. The low power mode can be switched from the googles. I'm all set for this year!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘

Would it be in low power mode permanently then? On the O3 you need to send an arm command to make it so the full bitrate

Yea I did notice that it was on low power mode when I looked in the goggles. I'm going to use this one mainly for park cruising and playground freestyle stuff. It was kinda like a "let's just see what happens" project

Yes it was permanently in low power mode. But it can be turned off through the googles
