Troubleshooting GPS Rescue Setup for FPV Drones

Anyone have experience setting up gps rescue? I must have something misconfigured I flicked the fail-safe switch and my drone flipped upside down and crashed into the ground haha, it was supposed to switch to angle mode and punch up for 1.5s and then navigate back to home position and then land
