ChatGPV for FPV, thats me. I am a newcomer and love the learning curve as-well-as thinking about how all the components work, or dont, with eachother. I am finding that ChatGPT appears to be very good at resolving my current learner issues, has anyone else found this?
Here is my most recent example...
Me: FPV - AvionRC Nexa 3.5 pro with dji 04 pro and dji controller 3 the throttle is working but stays on when i reduce throttle

It sounds like your throttle is not fully reducing to zero when you lower the stick on your DJI Controller 3. Here are a few things to check and troubleshoot:
1. Check Controller Calibration
Go to the DJI RC 3 settings and check the stick calibration.
Make sure the throttle stick moves smoothly and registers correctly (0-100%).
2. Check Betaflight Settings (if applicable)
If your Nexa 3.5 Pro runs Betaflight, check these settings:
Throttle Min & Idle Speed:
Connect your drone to Betaflight Configurator.
Go to the Receiver tab and check the throttle value at the lowest position.
Adjust Throttle Min if necessary (usually set around 1000-1050).
Motor Tab:
Ensure that Motor Stop is enabled if you want motors to stop when throttle is zero.
Set idle speed lower if needed (try 4.5-5.5%).
Modes Tab:
Ensure Air Mode is OFF if you want the motors to stop completely when at zero throttle.
3. ESC Calibration (Electronic Speed Controller)
If you suspect an issue with the ESC, try calibrating it:
Remove props.
Set throttle to maximum.
Power on drone.
When you hear beeps, lower the throttle to minimum.
Wait for confirmation beeps.
4. Check for Stick Deadband
In Betaflight (or other flight software), check if Stick Deadband is too high.
Reduce Throttle Deadband to 0 or 1 if needed.
5. Check Failsafe & Idle Settings
Ensure failsafe is set to drop or cut throttle if signal is lost.
If using DJI O4 Pro Air Unit, check the failsafe behavior in the DJI settings.
6. Check Motor Configuration
If your motors are continuing to spin, it could be due to an issue with ESC firmware or wrong motor protocol. Ensure you're using the correct ESC protocol in Betaflight (DShot300/600).
Let me know what you've checked and I can help further! 🚀
Me:
It works perfectly when using DJI Neo as drone
ChatGPT said:
Since your DJI Neo drone works perfectly with the same DJI RC 3 + DJI O4 Pro, but the Nexa 3.5 Pro does not, that suggests an issue specific to the Nexa 3.5 Pro's setup rather than the controller or DJI O4 system.
Possible Causes & Fixes:
✅ 1. Throttle Range Mismatch
The DJI Neo has built-in auto-calibration, but the Nexa 3.5 Pro might need manual throttle calibration.
Check the throttle endpoint range in Betaflight or iNav:
Connect to Betaflight Configurator.
Go to the Receiver tab and look at the throttle channel.
Ensure the lowest value is around 1000 and highest is around 2000.
If not, adjust the RC endpoints in DJI Assistant or Betaflight.
✅ 2. Air Mode is Keeping Motors Spinning
