Well, welcome to the club. I needed to register and to have a special insurance. I need to be 150m away from buildings, recreational zones etc because my drone is a diy drone and therefore doesn't have a certificate (c01-c04)... I m not allowed to use more than 25mw for video transmission, It needs to be flown in LOS. And of course I should not fly without a spotter.... But it can still be a lot of fun if.... 😂😂😂😂😂😂
my problem is that I'm just 90% clear about what is allowed and what isn't. Sometimes I just don't understand why there is a highway right above a river, but it's illegal to fly a 150g whoop there because it's to loud.
I actually had a conversation with an rc store owner yesterday, he actually had got out of drone sales entirely around 2019, due to restrictions. I personally feel the restrictions are necessary and education and important part of any hobby or sport
I agree. We got the restrictions because someone did stupid stuff (besides the fact that a lot more people joined this hobby etc.). But some of the rules are too strict or just way off from my point of view (e.g. up to 22.000 euro fine or the 25mw rule for video transmission). I also get that many RC plane pilots are pissed because they now have the same rules applied (e.g. they need to register and have a drone license while not owning a drone). Overall I just try not to think about it and enjoy my new found hobby.
