Help Needed: Adding Walksnail Ascent Lite VTX to BetaFPV Air 65
Hello! I need some help. I would like to attempt adding the Walksnail Ascent Lite VTX to my BetaFPV Air 65. Is it possible? I understand where the power and ground go, but what gets soldered to the AIO FC on the CAM in pad? Also, the VTX has RX and TX. Do those need soldered to those pads on the FC? Any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Hello, for the Walksnail Ascent Lite, the camera is connected directly to the VTX. So you would not need to solder anything to the camera pad on the FC. And for the RX and TX you do need to solder those onto the board so the VTX can be used by the FC. Also the Rx pad on the vtx solders to Tx pad on the Fc and Tx pad on the VTX gets soldered to the Rx pad on the FC.

Thank you for the great information! Would I use the TX3 and RX3 or the TX4 and RX4 pads on the FC? Does it matter? I'm curious why I would solder from RX to TX and TX to RX? I want to make sure I understand the logic. Also I'm assuming I could use any power and ground to solder to the FC? Thank you!

If there is nothing soldered to the Tx4 and Rx4 pads then I would recommend doing it there. Because right next to them is a 5v and a ground pad so you can have the best cable management doing it that way. I don't know for sure why you do Rx to Tx but I do know from experience that RX to Rx and Tx to Tx does not work. What Im guessing is Fc transmits data through Tx pad and then the VTX receives that data through the RX Pad. And Its the same for the Vtx sending data to the Fc. And you can use any ground and power (as long as they can support the minimum power output of the Vtx) but I would recommend doing the ground, power, tx4, and rx4 pads in the picture .
