New to FPV: Introduction and Experiences with Drones
Hi everyone 👋 just a quick self introduction post. I’m pretty new to this but sadly in the few months I’ve been flying I’ve become a full on fpv junkie! I started with two betafpv meteor85 (one of which I destroyed with a fizzer battery 🤣🤷♂️), then my moblite75 only lasted 6 packs before the FC gave up…. And my latest frustration is the gofilm20, yet to be airborne under my control haha. Currently teaching myself soldering and the configuring flight controllers so no doubt I’ll have some rookie stupid questions, please be patient with my low IQ 🫣. Fair breeze and clear skies to all 🫡

Welcome @bennyh0. Get some practice on a SIM and learn about configuring and setting up your drone.
Your last quad shouldn't have just died after six batteries. I think we could repair that , unless you'd a catastrophic crash.
You need to tame a quad by finding your rates. That'll give you the rate of rotation and the feel you want.

@GreenthumbFPV turns out it was my usb cable with the Moblite75 but now it won’t bloody arm again 🤯

Unfortunately it doesn't stop being frustrating. Fortunately, it doesn't stop being awesome every time you put those goggles on. Do what he said, go with the sim. LIFTOFF is on PC and PlayStation. You can also use your radio as the controller with the PlayStation.

@drmofsd oh yeah that initial launch still catches my breath 🫨🤪😃 I’m a hundred or so hours deep in liftoff on my MacBook, reckon it saved me from repairing my drones 1000 times , second best investment after the real gear!

@Cyan1deFPV I’ve got three, but I can only get one in the air so I’m a bit timid on risky missions, once I get all of them flying I’ll get a bit braver lol

I'm right there with you, I'm planning my first big investment, I just got my Radiomaster boxer (Crush) and planning on getting the walksnail goggles L... Still trying to decide on a drone, maybe the YMZFPV Lightning2, or the hummingbird race spec from new bee. Maybe both!

Definitely DO NOT get Liftoff for Xbox as it does not let you use your own radio! I made this mistake by not looking into it enough and was excited to practice with my new pocket. NOPE
