I would like to use my Blackbox in Betaflight, but it does not work. I have an SD card in it. I assume that it is a bug.

What size is your SD card? It's better to use smaller ones, or you can format it to 4GB, because Betaflight can only use up to 4GB. When you power on your flight controller (FC), it might take up to 5 minutes for Betaflight to read the SD card. Sometimes it takes 2 minutes, but it can take longer, so try waiting first. This happened to me too – if you insert a card that isn’t formatted in FAT32, Betaflight will show an error and it won’t go away until you insert a properly formatted one. It won’t even tell you that it’s preparing the SD card.
If nothing happens, try a different SD card and check the slot for damage.
You can also try checking the ports tab in Betaflight to make sure the SD card UART is enabled. If it still doesn’t work, try updating Betaflight to the latest version.
Hope it helps. Let me know if it does👍
I have just tried a new SD card and it did not work. The SD card has 4GB and I formatted it to FAT 32. It shows the same error on Betaflight as it did with the other SD card.
use sd card formatter v5 its free software to format your sd card then it will work i had the same problem when using sd card in the speedybee fc

This is not a Betaflight bug. The flight controller can see that an SD card slot exists, but it cannot initialize the card, which is why Blackbox shows “fatal error”.
This almost always comes down to the SD card itself.
Betaflight only works reliably with SD or SDHC cards up to 32 GB, formatted as FAT32. Cards that are 64 GB or larger, or formatted as exFAT, will not work. Very fast or modern cards can also fail even if the size is correct.
Remove the card, format it on your computer as FAT32, then reinsert it and power cycle the flight controller. Do not rely on quick format if you can avoid it.
If that does not fix it, try a different SD card. Many cards are technically fine but still incompatible with certain flight controllers.
I have formatted it several times to FAT 32, but it still does not work.
