DollyFly16 giveaway? YES SIR!
inspired by YouTube content creators "Butterfly FPV"
https://www.youtube.com/@butterflyfpv
and "Mr ShutterBug" https://www.youtube.com/@MrShutterBug
i created a neat 75mm Tinywhoop, the name "GHOST75"
it doesn't quite match the toughness of Butterfly's builts or the lightness of ShutterBug's amazing 16.8g 75mm Whoop, but it's a worthy mix of the two.
i have modified a GlowInTheDark Happymodel V2 frame which i had still laying around,
to take 300mah LiPos on TOP above the flight controller,
similar to some 5 inch freestyle drones.
V2 frames are out of stock and not in production anymore.
it features RCInPower GTS V3 0802 22.000KV motors,
and a BetaFPV G473 4in1 flight controller, which is also not in production anymore,
BetaFPV now sells only the 5in1 version.
it's weight without battery is just above 18g
needless to say, it performs very well for freestyle.
with the amazing 300mah Tattu Lipos (my favorites) it's able to hover 7 minutes easily
(not trying to kill the Lipo)
in my opinion, my dear whoop friends (talking in Butterfly FPV's voice) we need production frames like the BetaFPV Air 2 frame but with the battery compartment on top, this makes it really fun to fly and has many benefits over the "traditional" bottom mounts.
The Lipo above the propeller blades is the perfect counterweight for the 4 motors driving the blades from below.
Unlike a pusher configuration where everything weight wise is above the blades, or a regular whoop with most of the weight under the blade, my configuration makes it very balanced and therefore super snappy in tight turns,
+ the bottom of the whoop is now flat making it easier to perch onto something
would you like to see low profile Tinywhoop frames like this?
