I prefer the right. There's more distinction between elements. The one on the left melds together and feels difficult to know where to look.

Looks like a 3 pin JST connector. You could buy a male 3 pin and solder up a connector for the camera using that, just make sure you have -ve, +ve and vid in the right order.
