Looking for thoughts on running a whoop workshop.
I have a handful of young people this summer that are mildly interesting in building and fly a quadcopter/fpv so was thinking about doing a workshop. Has anyone one done anything like this? What challenges are there? what are some things I should prepare beforehand? It will be kids ranging from 11-15 year old.
I was thinking the first thing they need is to buy a controller and velocidrone mobile (they all have phones) to get them first familiar with controls and throttle management.
I would get them to build whoops which is easy to go solderfree.

despised but prolific
people love hating on this controller so just want to put one positive word out there on this one. It makes building easier, no need to add a receiver and more importantly, mount another antenna.
yes, losing signal may mean loss of quad as recovery time is fatally slow but in my experience, I've never lost signal yet. I generally don't fly far, or over water.
Another pain point is that the sticks on this is way too stiff. There are two adjustments but they actually have nothing to do with spring tension. I solved this by cracking it open and stretching out the springs. After that the controller became much more usable.
so overall, being a lazy builder, this is my go to controller and it actually works very well for my use case
