After moving to countryside Australia recently, I decided it was time to pull my quads out of storage and go flying again - first time in 7 years! They are "old" tech by today's standards, but honestly I still had alot of fun and it reminded me just how amazing these little machines (and this hobby and community) are. This is a little converted-train carriage AirBnb we stayed at for a weekend getaway - seen from above! Happy Flying 🤩

Old but solid
This was my first and still my only radio, that I first got with my RTF quad kit many years back. Although it's a basic radio, it has held up to the test of time. I love the slim form factor, and how intuitive the menu is! I've since paired it with the x6b receiver for the smaller form factor and to use iBus protocol. I've successfully achieved ranges of around 1-2km, especially in line of sight and non-noisy environments. Newer radios with ELRS protocol (which I would get if I ever upgrade, especially for the longer range confidence) would almost certainly beat this out for value, especially if the price comes close, but this radio is still a great and beginner friendly no-frills option.
