Long-time gamer turned FPV enthusiast. I’ve been in the hobby for 5 years but recently went 'all-in' on mastering flight. I tend to hyper-focus on the technical side and the chase for the perfect line, so I’m looking for a local crew that’s down to rip packs and talk shop without the fluff.

I think thats exactly what I will struggle with is the lower throttle point and honestly might need to update control to full size gimbal from pocket but also know if you just to use it you'll be fine. Crux was that way for awhile do it being floaty as heck and props in view messing me up

I didn't solder anything it was done by him to an extent as he bought it used barely used and helped me learn by selling it cheap he has been super helpful with even mentioning about using right tools and what to look for ok used products

Honestly I see no harm and you find it as a useful tool to others. It would different if you were looking for follows or trying to sell something.

Keep going man I been flying for a few years but really just this year I really cracked the code on most mistakes. At first just learn how quad reacts to different movements

Jumping into my first 5 inch used from someone that went to extra length in bardwell server to give all pictures and video to show solid a quad. Currently Crux 35 is my biggest but any tip I should know?

Progress & Issues — 5 Year Journey, Still Grinding

Throttle: start 0, mid 55, expo 30

Been around this hobby for about 5 years but let's be real — it hasn't been 5 years of consistent flying. More like 6-7 month bursts of passion and then burnout, rinse and repeat. This year though I've really been locking in. I have an addictive personality and once I'm in, I'm ALL in — but that same personality makes burnout hit hard when it comes. Also the finances to tank because you buy another drone lol you don't need.

Real life flying has been clicking more and more, and now the simulator is finally starting to mirror that. Feeling fast, feeling flow, and the progress feels real for the first time in a long time.

Recent breakthrough:

Fixed my throttle drop issue by raising mid throttle to 55. Small tweak, massive difference.

Current struggles:

Yaw paralysis — I know yaw is supposed to help you level out and pull through turns but I can't execute it cleanly. When I yaw into a turn I swing wide instead of tracking through it. Coming in too fast makes it worse. I just can't get my brain and hands to agree on that small subtle yaw adjustment to point where I'm going. I overcorrect, or I freeze completely. Five years in and this is still my wall.

Yank and banks — Trying to use them for speed but struggling to execute them cleanly and consistently.

Anyone else been on this kind of on-and-off journey? How did you finally get the yaw to click?

Joshua Bardwell, Nick Burns, and few others are still current and provide alot of knowledge.

Totaled my Crux35 into a tree thanks to some signal breakup. A fresh battery, new props, and a quick VTX adjustment were all it took to get flying again

Let's take flight together and elevate the world of FPV drones to new heights.
