I've been looking to start work on a long range scouting type drone for long distance use in stuff like observing landscapes, exploring and looking for airsoft players (I know, what a switch up).
So I was wondering, what is the most range you could get out of a drone? Either Quad or Fixed Wing. And where would be the best place to start designing such a craft? Thanks!!

Well, Heya folks! ^_^
Joined up after watching @NickFPV 's video and thought it would be a good place to start. I'm a long time 3D printing and flight sim hobbyist and wanted to get into something a bit more "real" as one could say.
Most of the stuff I fly in sims is long-range and observation, as someone who also does Airsoft on and off I wanted to start making a drone capable of doing that sort of stuff, and decided here is the best place for it.

So, I'm getting into FPV this year and this is my current list of stuff on HobbyRC. The only thing I'm struggling with now is picking goggles. There's so many to choose from and its extremely confusing to me all the differences and nuances. How one pair is £90 and another is £500.
If anyone can point me in the direction for some good goggles, I think analogue since that's what the drone supports. Thanks!
