From (limited) personal experience it is mostly soldering (do NOT overestimate your capabilities, practice first untill you're comfortable in your ability to solder expensive electronics). Also worth noting is static electricity, tip here is to ground yourself with an antistatic bracelet. Not all boards have protection circuits! Hope this helps.
