Tips for Practicing Low Altitude Flying with FPV Drones

Something new to practice, my “low” to the ground was a round a foot or two. Trying to train by brain to a couple inches is a tough one for me. Gonna need new nose skid soon. 😅 Anyone got any tricks or tips? Or is it just more practice?

What is the drone/cam? Or did you record in VTX/DVR?

@EpicPieFlavour custom built 5” apex evo. 4s. And an older GoPro. I just tweak the settings till it looks better for where I’m flying.

I’ve seen and heard some people very happy with DJI, the video quality seems to be the best. It’s a bummer that there is always a trade off somewhere though, seems they have more latency and when you get to the edge of range it can freeze the last image or black out.

But then again if you’re not racing or doing really fast maneuvers it’s no big deal, or if you dont usually push the range/ penetration to the edge. I think it’s all preferences really. I’d like to say cost but if you want excellent analog video it’s pricey to get the best antenna and modules ect. So? Idk? The system that gets people flying and puts a smile on your face is the best. And as the tech gets ever better on all fronts we will get closer to the “perfect “ system. I hope. Light, durable, great range, easy to use, and affordable.
