60 amp, 20x20 for the axisflying manta 3.6. I know it’s overkill, but the whole build will be. Just waiting for the motors. Then I’ll have what I need to complete the build! Can’t wait! Stack is very nice. They killed it on quality.
It depends. If your other components can handle the voltage increase, sure. Higher kv motors will produce more heat. You would probably have to change the tune. Your vtx if on vbat might fry. You’d just have to verify if what you’re working with can handle the voltage input. If not, there are workarounds.
I have that quad. I only use 4s on it. Don’t think I’d put a 6s on it, flys fine on 4s. Just watch out for what pad your vtx is on. Could fry it if you’re on vbat, unless it’s rated for 6s also. Why not just build a quad for 6s packs? The motors on that sub 250 are rather high kv for 6s. Better think about a different tune, and props. I imagine they’d get pretty hot, really quick.
Also, I am very excited. I won a bidding war on ebay and got a pair of FatShark Dominator HDs for an amazing price! I currently have analog box goggles only, and since I am 14 years old and balancing saving for college and car, and spending money on FPV gear is hard since I don't have a stable income, so this is a big deal for me!!!👍🔥🤩😊
I would like to keep going because it is really fun, but I have made the decision to only buy the Lightning V2 or the Draknight2 as my next drones for the reason that they are cheap and they are really fun. I currently have two drones, the Bardwell (which has no video system), and a Lightning 2 in a Draknight frame. For what I get out of it, I am satisfied. I have flown 5" quads, and I don't like what it has to offer compared to a small drone, they are a lot more powerful, but I will stick to small. 😀
😂 why are you trying to push a 3” with a 6s if power isn’t what you’re looking for? You should consider sourcing your own parts and frame. Building them are far more rewarding than bnf. In my opinion, it’s the best way to learn. Best part of the hobby is building them. It’s very rewarding. Also it’s cheaper in the long run. You should give it a go. Bardwells videos have excellent tutorials. Loads of information online for diy builds. From my experience building them end up being much better quality. Definitely worth the challenge.
I built my first drone!!! So fun... I used the CNC drones Baby Turtle frame (T700CF), Happymodel Crazyf405HD FC, Happymodel EX1103 motors, and the Walksnail mini 1s kit... This drone rocks, it has way too much power (never really a bad thing though), and it handles like a breeze in the wind (pun intended🤣). I also have an Air65 because it's getting really cold outside.
Great idea! Do you have any experiance with throttle expo for racing tinywhoops? I have the perfect rates for me set up, but I've heard that throttle expo is helpful when racing. 10"... That's huge! What are some of the benefits of bigger drones?
It’s meant for long range and long flight time. You can learn everything you possibly need by watching Joshua Bardwell, also Oscar Liang’s web series. Tons of good info. Any questions you may have, they’ve already answered. I suggest making a playlist of all the videos you can. Even if you don’t think you need to know, you will benefit immensely. If you have any questions just search with those guys. You will find exactly what you need.
They "know it all" (pun intended)..🤣... Have you raced tinywhoops? I have practiced alot since it's winter, but I think I would like to carry it on to a competitive level (whether full sized or tinywhoops) and I can't find any videos on actually how to race... Any suggestions of any kind? I also am looking for some goggles (analog) that are relatively cheap and I would like the FATSHARK Attitude V4, but there aren't many videos on them, have you tried them, are they worth getting a used pair, or should I go for something newer. I can't express how much you and the rest of this community have helped me with all these questions, thank you for your time and all the input you've given me!
