How to Build a Tool to Compare VTX Latency in FPV Systems
Hello is there a way to make a tool to compare latency in the different vtx systems? i´m on analog and i´m checking out the P1, but 60ms latency feels aloth, is it possible to buld a tool to compare the latency between the diffrent systems?

Yea, I've been wanting to build a tool which basically creates input lag in a simulator by intercepting the USB input.

Nils_Vo did a video on latency and showed his methodology for testing goggles. Joshua Bardwell just said he is developing an app for this as well I believe. In my personal experience, it takes me a pack to readjust when switching from hdzero or analog to dji racemode, which is like ~30ms glass to glass I believe. I think anything rated above ~30ms isn't going to compare great to analog, but that's because analog is the best. I focus on latency for my analog and hdzero systems, then image quality, range, etc for everything else. Idk if that helps haha

I might use the P1 for exploring and analog for fresstyle because of the low latency

If I didn't already have DJI, Id probably do that as well since the recent firmware updates seem to be doing well. Love betafpv, they aren't the best, but I sure dont care as much if I break or lose one haha

indeed, no shade to them. Landed (crashed) my meteor75 half submerged in my dogs water bowl when learning and it flew totally fine after a couple days in rice

I was watchin Joshua Baldwell stream and he built a latency testing app tool using claude i have not used it but its on github
