Relatable FPV Hobbyist Struggles and Expenses
Hi Stew, I was just laughing at one of your videos the other day when you said " it's never been cheaper to take up the hobby". Never seem to stop buying stuff that I didn't know I needed. Started not telling the wife how much it cost 🤣. And seem to always be fixing stuff that has broken 😭. Thank god I am still flying analog drones 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Your scaring me. I haven't even started yet I've only got the Pocket controller and sims. Will I have to sell one of my grandchildren to get all the associated equipment required?

@GanDad Probably two of them. Gets a bit addictive after a while. I got most of my analog drones second hand and just changed the receivers to ELRS to match my pocket so saved a bit of money there.

@LawrenceNZ that's funny, I got 2 new whoops and had to put xm+ receivers on them because old spare parts are cheaper than an ELRS module lol. Surprisingly just a half gram heavier after some other weight savings🙂

Not too bad if you’re careful (aka call the bank and tell them to put a limit on shops such as getfpv…)

@LawrenceNZ another useful strategy is to ask them to call your significant other before these transactions go through
