Goggles 3 Charging Issues: Is My Unit Faulty?
Quick Q for those with the Goggles 3.
I've noticed that my goggles 3 take a few hours to charge (on a 18W QC charger, or a 20W PD charger, variety of good quality cables, seems to make little difference) and they self discharge quite rapidly (leave them iunused for a week and they're at 45% for example)
They're a few months old, only 2 or 3 cycles on the battery. I suspect they may be faulty.
Can any other G3 users give me some insight before I take it up with the retailer?

No experience with G3 but it sounds to me like either a faulty battery or the unit not properly shutting down.
I think it should be fully charged after 2-3 hours so that sounds normal but the discharging that fast doesn't sound like a leaky battery, more like a component staying on and draining it.
Again, no G3 experience, just my thoughts

No experience with 03 here either, but it's bad to charge up a lithium battery at let it sit for a week. You will notice decreased battery performance after a while. That said, probably a dying cell (high internal resistance). My dji fpv controller takes like 8 hours to charge, lithium ion cells take much longer to charge than lipo flight packs.

@Quad_Jake Yeah, ordinarily I wouldn't leave a battery charged for that long (I have ~40 LiPos sitting at storage charge at the moment) but I charged it up to take on holidays for a week and we had 50 knot winds for most of the time away so it sat in the backpack unused 😢
